As the newest member of the Mauritius Sotheby’s International Realty team, one of Joséphine’s defining characteristics is her determination to succeed. She believes in perseverance and hard work and it’s an attitude that reflects in all facets of her life.

Joséphine completed her studies in Cape Town, South Africa, in the field of textiles. Diploma in hand, she embarked on a 15 year career in this sector.

After much success in the textile industry Josephine decided it was time for a career change.

“While thinking about my professional rebirth, the only job that was obvious to me was to be in the real estate industry. I love beautiful homes, I’m intrigued by the different architectural concepts, I enjoy decorating, and being a real estate agent allows me to explore my creative instincts. Furthermore, I love interacting with people.”

With her usual grit and determination, Josephine started working for a real estate agency on the island in 2015. This new world, with new challenges, was eye opening:

”I am by nature very meticulous, I ensure that I have all the necessary information on hand to better guide my clients in their quest for the perfect home.”

Having built up solid experience, an impressive client base in the west and with firm foundations in place, Josephine decided it was time for a new challenge and joined Mauritius Sotheby’s International Realty in March 2021.

“I joined a dynamic team, the brand is of global influence and is growing exponentially in Mauritius. Specialised in the local market segment for Mauritius Sotheby’s International Realty, I find that working for this brand is a big challenge that I am excited to take on.”

Loving the great outdoors, Josephine enjoys exploring the island with her family. Furthermore, being an extrovert, interacting with clients and colleagues are her main sources of inspiration.

Having grown up in the area, the Black River/Tamarin region in the West of the island holds no secrets for Josephine and with her large network she has unique access to those hidden gems clients are looking for.
